The Laurens County Trails Association will be teaming with the Joe R. Adair Outdoor Education Center to host a hands-on Pioneer Living History tour of the center's recently restored 200 year old log cabin that had been damaged by fire.

On December 7 Clinton City Council voted to allocate $70,000 to develop the Sterilite Nature Area which will include a fishing pond and walking trail and possibly other facilities

The Laurens County Trail Association, which was formed in early fall of 2013, is working hard to organize their efforts and accomplish their goal of bringing the popular Swamp Rabbit trail in Greenville to Laurens County.

The Laurens County Trails Association (LCTA) is excited to announce that the National Parks Service (NPS) has awarded a grant to LCTA to provide assistance with the planning and development of a trail system in Laurens County. Through this grant, NPS personnel will provide guidance and expertise on a project to create a master greenway plan for Laurens County.

At Tuesday night’s Laurens County Council meeting, bicycles were the first item on the agenda. Mr. Donald Walker of the Laurens County Trails Association presented to council a map of the proposed designated bicycle route through Laurens County and a resolution in support of and to promote the extension and creation of designated bicycle routes within Laurens County.
